Daw-je... mat-ye? - Our HK and Macau Adventure

Three words... I love Hongkong! It's been almost a week since my husband and I went on a 4-day trip to HK and Macau. We really enjoyed our trip though we were really exhausted when we arrived Manila last Tuesday, because we would normally sleep past midnight after our jam-packed days.

So, to share with you, here's a look at what we've done and the places we've been in HK and Macau.

Day 1 - February 7

We were already at the NAIA Terminal 3 by 6AM. Daddy and Ahmee brought us there, they were as excited as we were. Hehehe.

We arrived HKIA at 11AM, bought 2 Octopus cards (HKD150 each) and headed to the guesthouse via the A21 Cityfler bus.

We arrived the Yiufai Guesthouse in Tsim Sha Tsui at 12PM, got settled for a while then proceeded to the nearby money changer to have our USDs exchanged.

After which, we went to the nearby MTR-TST station and figured out how to go to Tung Chung which is the Ngong Ping 360 and Cable Car MTR station. We found out after minutes of contemplation that we had to take the train going to Central and from there we will take the train going to Tung Chung. And we were right! :)

We rode the cable car.. Yeah! I conquered my fear of heights! Since it was a Saturday, there were a lot of tourists. We opted for the return tickets to experience the cable car ride twice!

We had our super late lunch at Ngong Ping Garden Restaurant. Then, we checked out the overpriced souvenir shops before we headed to the Giant Buddha.

We went back to Central and walked towards The Peak Tram terminus. Box office! The queue was too long and it felt like it wasn't moving at all.

After a couple of minutes hoping that we could get to The Peak that night, we gave up and decided to head to the Star Ferry terminal instead. Once again, we walked and walked.. and almost got lost because we thought we were literally walking in circles! Good thing there were 2 Pinays who gave us clearer directions to get to the terminal. Looooonnngggg walk again! But then we realized it was worth it. The view from the Star Ferry at night was spectacular.

When we arrived TST after about 10 minutes, we headed to the Avenue of Stars to witness the Symphony of Lights. Galing! Amazing music and lights coordination, plus the fact that the lights were from the different buildings of HK made it really amazing.

We then strolled along the Avenue of Stars and took more pictures.

We had dinner in one of the restaurants along Lock Road in TST, then finally headed to the guesthouse, dead-tired but happy! :)
