One Year Na!

Exactly a week from now, my husband and I will be celebrating our very first wedding anniversary! We weren't able to go to HK last year for our honeymoon due to financial constraints. So now, we are finally saying "Hong Kong here we come!"...
We are also planning on doing a side-trip to Macau to maximize our travel. Will surely post our first out of the country adventure.

And while we're at it, let me share with you the words that we said and meant last February 9, 2008.

Kris’ Vow (Groom)

Ian, I take you as my wife, and God’s most special gift to me. I will forever thank Him for bringing you into my life. You are the representation of His love to me on this earth for you know how to love me best. I will always treasure the love we share, the love He has given me through you.

I promise to be the best husband and father that I can be. I will go the extra mile to give you the love you deserve, so that I too, may be the best representation of God’s love to you.

I will respect you and your views, and will commit to compromise in times of conflict. I will always put your welfare and our family’s before my own. I will be faithful to this marriage and promise to love only you.

Ian, with your help, I promise to deliver a good marriage so that we may also be an inspiration and living example that God’s love is present among us.

In the presence of God, our families and friends, I vow to love, honor and respect you all the days of my life.

Ian’s Vow (Bride)

With all my love, I take you Kristian as my husband and partner in life. I will always be thankful to God for giving me you, for the love that He has nurtured between us and for all the years that we’ve been through.

As we celebrate the day that we’ve both been waiting for, I promise to be your constant friend and faithful wife, loving what I know of you and trusting what I have yet to know.

In times of conflict, I will hold your hand, listen to you and understand you with an unselfish heart. I promise to love you unconditionally, to honor and respect you, to encourage and inspire you, to laugh with you in times of joy and to comfort and support you in times of sorrow.

I promise to give my best to you and to our future family, never wanting anything more than what we have and what we both can offer.

I will stay by your side as we grow old and grey, still leaning on your shoulder like I did when we were much younger. You will always be “my man” – the man I admire, my one true love.
